The Gospel according to Bourdain

Chef Extrodinaire and Travel nut Anthony Bourdain waxes poetic about his favorite food shows and TV personalities on author Michael Ruhlman's blog:

Warning, put your beverage down before reading this. Inhaling the contents of hot coffee can be detrimental to your nose.

PS - Michael Ruhlman wrote The Making of A Chef and The Soul of a Chef both of which I throughly enjoyed.

Thanks for that link! He's a lot nicer to Bobby Flay and Giada di Laurentis than I would be, but otherwise I thought it was spot on. I know that Bobby can cook, but he has a personality like sandpaper. And I have no idea if Giada can cook because her show is filmed with the lighting, camera angles, and sensibility of pornography. It's such a turn-off I can't stand to watch more than a minute or two before I get disgusted at the closeups of her fondling a vegetable, her low-cut shirts, or her sharp little white teeth. Ick, ick, ick. I do not possess the words to adequately explain how grossed out I am by that woman's show. I'm glad Bourdain appreciates Alton Brown, because he's the best thing on Food TV these days.
